Cumberland County Middle School students participated in the Guys Geared Up for Technology, Engineering, Computers & Science Conference the "G2TECs" program held at Somerset Community College. Students had to complete an online application process in order to be selected. The day long conference consisted of six different workshops that covered programs that are offered at this college. The students participated in 3-D printing, Eyes on Gooey Science (dissection), GOT Spatter? (Crime Scene Investigation), Preparing for Disasters, Monkey Hunter (Physics), and Lair of the Mad Scientist (Electrical and Engineering). The conference was a great learning opportunity and allowed students to see what is being offered closer to home.
