Located in Burkesville, Kentucky, Cumberland County School District's core values are expressed in our vision of producing learners and leaders rich in experiences as connected citizens, caring communities, and creative collaborators. The district provides a robust curriculum including birth to early post-secondary education opportunities. Located within the Cumberland County School District are Little Panthers Daycare, Lake Cumberland Headstart, Cumberland County Elementary School, Cumberland County Middle School, Cumberland County High School, Panther Virtual Academic, and Panther Academy. Learners have opportunities for dual-credit enrollment and career pathways at Southern Kentucky Early College and Carrer Center in Albany as well as Campbellsville University and Somerset Community College.

CCHS juniors Sidney Acree and Tyler Dowdy have been accepted into the Governor's Scholars Program. Abby Duvall has been named an alternate. Congratulations to all.
The Governor's Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders. Established in 1983, the program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. Students must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the program free of charge.
