Cumberland County Schools is thrilled to welcome students, parents, and staff back to school for the upcoming school year. As we gear up for another year of academic excellence and growth, we are excited to share some important information regarding our school meals program. This year our food service program will undergo administrative review from the Child Nutrition department of the Kentucky Department of Education. Each school food authority is reviewed once every five years.
Our dedicated team has been working diligently to ensure that all students have access to healthy and nutritious meals that support their learning and development. We are committed to providing high-quality meals that meet or exceed the U.S. Department of Agriculture's nutrition standards. Our menu features a variety of delicious options that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs.
Highlights for the upcoming school year include:
- Free meals
- Online menu
- Special dietary accommodations
- Farm-to-school initiatives
- Nutrition educator
- Wellness education
We look forward to partnering with parents, students, and the entire school community to make this school year a success. Together, we can ensure that every child has access to nutritious meals that fuel their potential.
